Why we are so cheap
We buy our materials direct from quarry and specialist distributors, with a dedicated team of professionals and many years of experience in the industry we are able to provide premium quality products at competetive and affordable prices.

We will always compromise to give you the best price, but we will never compromise on quality. This has been our company moto since the day we started and strive to maintain this exceptional level of service.

We do not cut on-site, all worktops are fabricated using state of the art CNC equipment which offer minimal margin for error.

How we work

Our worktops are cut to your exact requirements and finished to exceptional quality. All orders are bespoke allowing you to have a unique hand finished worksurface. We do not cut on-site therefore helping you minimise the mess other on-site fabricators make, and remember, on-site fabrication can be done by anyone who is handy with an angle grinder!

We can fully design the look and feel of your worktop with detailed hand-finished edges and matching upstands & splashbacks to compliment your kitchen.

All worktops are cut from a 30mm slab and can include polished / unpolished cut-outs, drainer grooves, tap holes, upstands, splashbacks and window sills. All work is carried out by a specialist team at our workshop, using state of the art CNC equipment, we guarantee absolute perfection.

During the templating process one of our qualified installers is sent out to measure up your kitchen and to discuss with yourself the exact specifications you require. During this process the installer will make a template of your kitchen worktop and the desired position of any appliances and create a representation of where your granite will go. To achieve the best possible template it is important you are present to discuss with the installer your requirements.

Things to remember
Please ensure that worktops/cabinets are secured firmly to the wall, are level and have sufficient braces and that the floor can support the weight of the granite, alternatively if you are purchasing a new kitchen please make sure the kitchen you choose can support the weight (granite usually weighs around 90 kg per square metre).

Final locations of sinks, hobs, taps or any other fittings must be confirmed when templating takes place, we can not change this afterwards.

Please ensure cabinets and supports are not moved after we have been to template. Changes after the granite has been cut can cause major problems and significant changes in cost.

By its very nature granite is a very dense and heavy material so its not practical to provide lengths of granite worksurface in excess of three metres. We also reserve the right to add joints where necessary to conform with health and safety guidelines or where access is restricted.

When handling granite, our installers are extremely careful however the granite worktops are very heavy and can be difficult to handle in confined spaces in kitchens and bathrooms. Therefore please remove cupboard fronts and any other items that may get damaged during fitting of worksurfaces . We can not take responsibility for damage to such items that
are left in place.

Please ensure that suitable space and support is provided for the sinks. In most cases a sink will come with fitting instructions that will explain how to adapt the base unit to provide adequate room and support for the sink. Our installers will be able to explain what needs to be done before or after the work is carried out. If our installers need to do extra work when they arrive to accommodate sinks they may need to make an additional charge for the time.

Please note walls are rarely straight or square consequently there may be small gaps between the granite worksurface and the wall. Therefore we advise that upstands and/or splashbacks are fitted with the worksurface. Our team may also need to slightly modify walls next to the worksurface. Naturally every care is taken to minimise the impact and damage of such work, but Direct Marble & Granite can not take responsibility for live plaster falls. It is the customers responsibility to prepare the walls appropriately and repair any such damage.

Payment
Upon confirmation of a quotation we require a 50% deposit is paid before our installer arrives to template.

The final balance is payable in full upon completion of the fitting, all payments will be provided with receipts.

Any changes in these terms may result in delay to your template / fitting.

For any questions regarding our terms or simply to discuss your requirements before getting a quotation please feel free to call our professional sales team.
